Bourgogne Blanc Hautes Coutures

Bourgogne Chardonnay Côte d'Or  "Hautes Coutures" 

  Notre Bourgogne blanc est produit sur le village de Meursault. Trois parcelles différentes situées dans des sols calcaires participent à sa composition. Nous possédons 52 ares au total, uniquement situés sur le finage de Meursault dans les excellents lieux-Dits Hauts de Coutures et Magnys. le vignoble est conduit en taille Guyot simple et cordon de Royat et les plants ont entre 10 et 50 ans. Les jeunes ceps sont plantés à haute densité, entre 14500 et 17.000 pieds. Pour optimiser les rendements nous ne laissons que huit à dix grappes maximum sur chaque ceps. Le rendement est toujours inferieur à 50 hl/ha, ce qui permet d’obtenir un vin à la trame raffinée, élégante  et concentrée.

Bourgogne Hautes Coutures Blanc 2018:A slightly riper nose features notes of pear and apple compote that are trimmed in a whisper of hazelnut character. The succulent and appealingly intense flavors possess very good depth and solid persistence on the clean and dry finish. This too is worth checking out. Score 87

Bourgogne Hautes Coutures Blanc 2017: Whiffs of petrol and matchstick characters add breadth to the mostly floral and pear aromas. There is a really lovely texture to the medium weight flavors that also possess fine depth and very impressive length on the succulent and balanced finish. This is an excellent Bourgogne that should also repay a few years of cellaring. Score 88

Bourgogne Hautes Coutures Blanc 2016 :More discreetly spiced aromas of ripe pear and apple give way to nicely rich and voluminous flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel while exhibiting good depth and length. This is also quite good and would make a fine choice for an all-around house white. Score 87

Bourgogne Hautes Coutures Blanc 2015:There is just enough post-bottling reduction to render the nose hard to read today. Otherwise there is solid volume and concentration to the delicious flavors that possess a sleek mouth feel, all wrapped in lingering finish that really fans out as it sits on the palate. This too is a very good example of the genre. Score 87

Bourgogne Hautes Coutures Blanc 2014:There is an interesting hint of petrol on the otherwise fresh and pretty aromas of green apple and floral scents. There is a really lovely texture to the seductive, round and utterly delicious flavors that possess particularly good mid-palate concentration in the context of what this is, all wrapped in a saline-inflected finale that delivers very fine depth and length. An excellent Bourgogne worthy of your interest. Score 87

Bourgogne Hautes Coutures Blanc 2013:There is a discreet floral hint to the earthy dark berry fruit that introduces well-delineated and vibrant middle weight flavors that possess fine mid-palate density, all wrapped in a lingering and slightly rustic finale. This is a lovely version of the genre and recommended. Score 87
